When Laura Parker first crosses forks with Adam Bayley, she’s only after one thing: his custard doughnut. But when she takes a closer look she sees a talented, handsome man who outshines the string of jokers she’s been dating.
There’s just one problem. Adam’s job means Laura has to keep her job as restaurant critic for The Dish, a secret. Tricky for someone who prides herself on honesty.
Can the truth be put on ice long enough for love to flourish?
‘I want a TV ad just like John Lewis’s – only better!’
That’s what Devron, the head of marketing at Fletchers supermarket wants – and what Devron wants, Devron gets – or else. It’ll be fine, though. Vicky has eleven months to make the nation’s new favourite Christmas ad, that’s more than enough time.
Unless something, or someone, gets in her way…
According to a magazine, Susie is a ‘Leftover’ – a post Bridget-Jones 30 something who has neither her dream man, job, nor home. She doesn’t even own six matching dinner plates.
But Susie’s got a plan. If she can just make it the 307 days till her promotion and bonus, she can finally quit and pursue her dream career in food, then surely everything else will fall into place. If only her love life wasn’t so complicated…

Sophie Klein walks into a bar one Friday night and her life changes. She meets James Stephens: charismatic, elusive, and with a hosiery model ex who casts a long, thin shadow over their burgeoning relationship. He’s clever, funny and shares her greatest pleasure in life – to eat and drink slightly too much and then have a little lie down. Sophie’s instinct tells her James is too good to be true – and he is.
I have just finished the last of your novels and loved every word. The characters are easy to relate to and by the end of each book I felt as though they were friends. I am now on to Pear Shaped Christmas and as it is December 14th, a fitting time to start. Please hurry and write your next book, I am waiting not so patiently. Jennifer Watts, Nova Scotia, Canada

Hi Stella, I’ll admit, I came to the party late, but have more than made up for this and have just read 3 of your books back to back. I loved them; so relatable and real, hilarious and, (surprisingly for a non cook) the food bits started to get to me….please write another soon.
Devron makes for compulsive reading- give that man a dose of karma….
Yours in anticipation of another, Liz

Thank you Liz! I have a new-ish one out, under the name Vicky Zimmerman – you might like it. And yes, Devron….what can I say, other than I have worked for more than one Devron in my time! xx
